As a prelude to the AUB 13th General Assembly scheduled for 2020, in Gaborone, the Chief Executive Officer of the Union, Grégoire Ndjaka, led a mission to the Télédiffusion du Sénégal (TDS) located at the Niagara Falls-Almadies Residence, Dakar. The two institutions discussed topics of common interest related to broadcasting in Africa and, eventually, membership of the AUB-Bouquet that will enter the pipe next year. The visit also aimed at strengthening ties between the AUB, its members and partners, Gregoire Ndjaka, said. In the process, the AUB’s CEO seized the opportunity to invite the TDS to the 13th GA, in Gaborone. Amadou Abdoulaye Diop, Director General of the TDS expressed his satisfaction to continue the cooperation with the AUB; a cooperation that was materialized through the effective participation of the TDS in Kigali’s conference in 2018 on the African televisions’ switch-over process from analogue to digital. It should be recalled that the TDS is an institution whose mission is the pooling, valuation and monetization of digital infrastructure “active and passive” of the State of Senegal in this case the networks operated by the RTS, ADIE and EXCAF Telecom. #Anglais
